Baby got back

Just in case anyone cares, will care, or might even care– to cover all my bases– I am still alive. I just haven’t posted anything in a while because school actually overwhelmed me. Believe it or not, it can happen. I’m still drowning right now, just I won’t benefit anything by forcing myself to do even more work– I’m taking the night off. But tomorrow and the following weekend will be a killer: I’ve got to prepare for a test on Saturday, which generally means doing nothing but spending 5 minutes reviewing my notes, but this is an atypical class and an atypical test, so I want to be prepared, plus I must also prepare a crib sheet for the test (its use is permitted); I have another physics quiz tomorrow on multiloop circuits, which bothers me not in terms of time, but rather in terms of the fact that its complexity opens the possibility of me knowing exactly what I’m doing, but still messing up on the algebra; I have a paper to write for political science, so at least six hours of my Sunday are spoken for; I have an awards banquet on Saturday night, usually my only night of true r&r; and on top of all that, I have to prepare a resume and cover letter for a job application for my technical writing class, which the professor seems to think is something more than it is (I won’t go into details), and work on a group project worth some ungodly percentage of my grade in the same class, whose deadline is fast approaching.

Since, I won’t be posting a while into the forseeable future: currently my immediate plans are to read several math books, on linear algebra and group theory, begin a masterful overhaul of this site, and get back into programming, maybe learn Python or expand my knowledge of Perl. I estimate I’ll get 1% of these goals accomplished by the end of Thanksgiving holiday.
